Chiloschista (segawai x ramifera) is in bloom

Chiloschista022018.jpgI purchased this Chiloschista (segawai x ramifera) from eBay orchid vendor laorchidjohn on August 20, 2017.   It is another “nearly-leafless’ orchid, native to the humid forest of Thailand.  It is mounted on a piece of sinker cypress, and has decoded to bloom for me this year.  it has four spikes, from four- to six-inches long, each containing a small flower.  The flowers are about 1/2 inch in diameter.

I didn’t expect this plant to bloom this year.  It is a nice surprise.
