      Diffuse weak herbs or undershrubs; branches procumbent; stem densely white-hairy. Leaves opposite, 2-6 x 1-2.2 cm, ovate, crenate-serrate, apex acute or acuminate, base cuneate, bulbous based hairs on both sides; petiole 1- 3 cm long. Flowers in axillary or terminal, shortly peduncled, few-flowered, capitate spikes; bracts 10 x 2 mm, elliptic-oblong, 1-nerved, long-hairy, ciliate; hairs sometimes gland-tipped. Calyx 5-lobed, free near to the base; lobes unequal, ciliate, sparsely glandular-hairy; larger lobe 7-9 mm long, oblong-linear; other 4-lobes 5-7 mm long, linear. Corolla blue, , 12 mm long, funnel-shaped; tube broad above; lobes unequal, rounded. Stamens 4, didynamous, included; longer filaments bearded in the upper part; anther cells oblong. Ovary 2-loculed, hairy; style thickened below the blunt stigma. Capsule 4-6 mm long, linear-oblong, minutely pub-scent; seeds 6, yellowish-white, compressed, hairy.
