Hebe ×andersonii (Lindl. & Paxt.) Cockayne

A hybrid, h. salicifolia _ h. speciosa. Shrub to about 2.5 m tall. Leaves to 11 cm long, 3.5 cm wide, ovate to lanceolate, with prominent veins, stalked. Flowers in dense spikes to about 15 cm long, violet, fading.

Hebe ×andersonii 'Midsummer Beauty'

New leaves reddish below. Flowers violet.

Raised, probably in the 1940s, at Seaford and introduced by J. Cheal & Sons, Crawley, UK.

Hebe ×andersonii 'Variegata'

Leaves mottled grey-green and with a creamy margin. Sometimes reverts to green leaves.

Originated at least as early as 1874.
