Description
Astrolepis sinuata is a dry habitat fern that likes it’s fronds in the sun and roots under a rock or in crevices in the cool shade with quick draining soil. This fern has a short creeping rhizome, thick sage green fronds with a fuzzy white back that turns to cinnamon in color. It can reach 18 inches in height. Sori without indusia run along the veins near the margins. In wetter climates plant under eaves or in containers that can be moved to a dryer area during the rainy season. Remove faded fronds as necessary in the spring.
