Tall clumping Iris with narrow upright foliage. Excellent for vertical effect in the landscape. Easily grown in full sun or very light shade. Grows best in evenly moist, acid soil but will tolerate wet soil and drought. Zone: 3-9. Its attractive, tall, upright foliage, showy flowers, and persistent seed pods make this a great vertical accent plant in the border. Plant with peonies, geraniums and campanula. In wet areas plant with lobelia, joe-pye weed, astilbe, and chelone.
