About Rainbow Tradescantia
This cultivar of Tradescantia fluminensis is an exceptionally easy plant to care for and might surprise you with some of their delightful white blossoms. They are extremely easy to propagate by stem and one plant can give rise to dozens of new ones, which makes them great for sharing. 🤝 As houseplants they often trail, but will also creep along the ground if grown outdoors. Their succulent leaves make them sensitive to frost, so be sure to bring them indoors if your winter temperatures dip below freezing. ❄️

Finding light for Rainbow Tradescantia in your home
Rainbow Tradescantia may have difficulty thriving, and will drop leaves 🍃, without ample sunlight.
Place it less than 3 feet from a south-facing window to maximize the potential for growth.
Select your region to see how the current weather in your area affects the placement of Rainbow Tradescantia in your home 🏡.
How to fertilize Rainbow Tradescantia
Most potting soils come with ample nutrients which plants use to produce new growth.
By the time your plant has depleted the nutrients in its soil it’s likely grown enough to need a larger pot anyway.
To replenish this plant's nutrients, repot your Rainbow Tradescantia after it doubles in size or once a year—whichever comes first.

My tradescantia is looking a bit sad? Hello, fellow plantparents, I feel there's something wrong with my tradescantia but I can't figure out what exactly? It's like this since late August and I thought it could sunburned. I thought it will be better by now as I water propagated it last month and the other plant is doing wonderfully. I also feel that the type I identified it as could be wrong. #tradescantia

What does she need? She is about 1.5 feet from a window. The pot does have drainage.

Crispy brown patches on the leaves of my plant. It hangs behind a sheer white curtain in a south facing window. #TradescantiaNanouk

🤞🏼Here’s to hoping!🥺 I’ve been trying to figure out what was making this guy droopy and dry leaves at the base. I’ve checked the roots, given him new succulent soil mix. I’ve changed lighting -too much/too little. I happened across a YouTube video about house plants to never have and decided to watch it. In this video it listed this plant and ran down a list of things that can happen, every one of them I’ve been seeing with this guy. Then it went on to say when this happens trim it shorter. (I don’t remember all of the ‘why’) Nothing else has seemed to perk him up, so here’s to hoping. 🤞🏼 I trimmed a good 6”+ (12” in some spots) off all around and will be propping all of that together. Then had to find him a new home because I filled his previous spot. #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #PlantAddict #PlantTherapy #GregGang #BeforeAndAfter #PlantLove

My inch plant baby “Haze” is growing but losing its purple color…. What am I doing wrong? Also mine stand up like they are stretching for sun vs flowy/trailing like I’ve seen others. #Zebrina

Advice I just got this baby in the mail, obviously she is not looking the best. What do you guys suggest?
