Should I soak and dry a Turkās head cactus?? I was trying to figure out how to water Pyrite and I thought about soak and dry. But idk if that would work for him. Any help? #SucculentSquad #Cactus #Watering

Well, this happenedā¦ šŖ“ #ChaoticPlainsUpdates !! Story time yayyy!! š±I almost killed my #Ferocactus ! šæ STORY TIME!! Pyrite was very, very, pale and I gave him more sun to see if that would fix it. It didnāt, things only got worse. I checked to see the last time I watered himā¦the 28th of Julyā¦itās AUGUST 8th!!! It explained SO MUCH! I gave him a cup of water. šŖ“Now, hopefully, heāll be ok! If anyone can give me tips on how to avoid this, thatād be great! #SucculentSquad #CactusClique #Cactus

Why does the soil dry so fast? I watered Pyrite a few days ago (Thursday specifically) and the soil is already almost completely dry. Is something wrong? #SucculentSquad #CactusClique
-
Why is the soil draining so fast? āļøWARNING THIS IS LONGāļø So about a month ago is switched Pyrite <0.5m away from a window (See the picture). Hereās the thingā¦his soil has been draining in 2-3 days and heās been kinda pale. The window gets LOTS of sun and LOTS of heat. So could it be the change in scenery? Thereās rocks in the soil so Iām surprised itās draining so fast. I think the paleness is just too much sun (I forgot to rotate him), but Iām worried it might be something else (bc the soil drains so quickly). Is it possible the soil is hydrophobic?? If so what do i do? #SucculentSquad #CactusClique #Cactus #Cacti #Ferocactus

Is this a good decision? #ChaoticPlainsUpdates Iām getting a new pot for Pyrite the pot is going to be terracotta because he struggles with the soil being wet for too long. Will that fox the issue? I donāt want him to rot. Iāve been sparing with watering so heās been fine, but He gets squishy every now and then and it takes him a while to recover. Is this the right decision? #CactusClique #Cactus #Cacti #SucculentSquad #Succulents #Succulent
