Mulder and Scully team up again for X-Files: Cold Cases

Get ready to believe (again), X-Files fans, because David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are once again reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Only this time, the pair won’t be gracing any screens with their performances — just listeners’ ears.

Based on Joe Harris and Chris Carter’s graphic novels, X-Files: Cold Cases takes place before the recent revival, but after The X-Files: I Want to Believe, as Mulder and Scully team up to investigate a data breach at FBI headquarters that gives a mysterious group access to old X-Files investigations.

But Duchovny and Anderson aren’t the only ones reprising their iconic roles for Audible’s upcoming full-cast audio dramatization. As you can see in the trailer above, Mitch Pileggi will once again embody FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner, while William B. Davis will return to give the Cigarette Smoking Man his trademark mystique. Rounding out the cast are Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood as the Lone Gunmen, a trio of conspiracy theorists.

X-Files: Cold Cases will be available for purchase July 18. Preorder the audiobook here, and get a glimpse of the cover below.
