Egeria najas is a species of perennial herb in the family Hydrocharitaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mato Grosso, Paraná, Ceará, Pantanal, Rio Grande Do Norte, Cerrado, Pernambuco, SãO Paulo, Pampa, Mata Atlântica, Minas Gerais, Caatinga, and Mato Grosso Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves.
