Propagandist found dead on a highway in Russia

On January 6, journalist Alexander Rybin, who covered news from the L/DPR through many pro-Kremlin publications, was found dead in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation. A week earlier, he had appeared in the temporarily occupied Ukrainian city of Mariupol, reporting on the corruption of the "authorities."

This was reported by his colleagues from the online magazine Rabkor, citing relatives and friends. They say that the propagandist's body was found near the highway near the town of Shakhty, but the death was not criminal.

"The last time he spoke on the air was on December 30 from Mariupol. During it, he said that there was no New Year's mood in the city after the shelling, and also suggested corruption in the construction sector. In addition, he wished Russians a change of government," some Russian media write.

At the same time, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Rostov Region said that "no signs of criminal death were found on Rybin's body, which was found on Saturday near a parking lot in the Krasnosulinsky district." They added that they would first conduct a forensic medical examination, and then decide how to qualify the case of the Russian's death.

It is known that 40-year-old Alexander Rybin was from the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation and studied journalism at Tver State University. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in particular during 2023, he filmed propaganda stories in the L/DNR, and before that - in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, the United States, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.

He is called an "ethnographer, traveler, political observer and international journalist" specializing in the Middle East and Central Asia, who has worked with many publications - the Kremlin's mouthpieces.

Mariupol mayor's advisor Petro Andriushchenko said that the last time propagandist Rybin went on the air was near the ruins of the Mariupol Drama Theater bombed by Russian troops. At that time, he not only criticized the process of "reconstruction" of the city by the occupiers, but also touched upon the topic of touring artists from Central Asia who came to Mariupol "to earn money." The propagandist promised that upon his arrival in Moscow he would prepare and publish a detailed material on the topic of subcontractors who "restore" the destroyed city using migrant labor.

"It didn't work out. Taking into account the personalities of the "rulers of Mariupol from the Russians" and the amount of stolen money, it is clear who is the beneficiary of his sudden death (read RosKapStroy). In short, the end. In any case, minus one Russian propagandist is good. Doubly so when he was removed by the Russians themselves. God bless the deceased," Andriushchenko commented ironically.

As OBOZ.UA reported, last year in November, a propagandist from Russia 24 Borys Maksudov died in November after coming under attack by a UAV in Zaporizhzhia. A year before his death, the Russian had done a useful job as a fire spotter in the temporarily occupied Shakhtarsk, Donetsk region.

At the end of December 2023, it became known that propagandist Anton Kuznetsov-Krasovsky was poisoned. The former director of Russia Today became "famous" for calling for the drowning and burning of Ukrainian children on live TV.
