Food
The Myanmar Botia will eat snails, bloodworms and brine shrimp. In captivity they will accept a variety of frozen or flake foods.
Sexing
The males tend to be larger yet slimmer than the females.
Breeding
Very little is known about the breeding habits of the Myanmar Botia. Breeding in captivity is unsuccessful.
Origin
The Myanmar Botia comes from areas of Asia including Burma and Thailand.
Description
Myanmar Botias love snails so much that they are often used to control snail populations in aquariums. Be sure to keep more than 5 of these fish in the aquarium because they are much more comfortable in groups.
