Potsize – 1L
Thlapsi macrophyllum. This is one of those plants that is easily overlooked, but adds a lot to the Spring Garden. It is understated but a great foil to Hellebores and bulbs at that time of year. The leaves are rounded, forming good, but not fast spreading groundcover. They are a deep green, taking on purple veins in Winter. The flowers are typical Crucifer – rounded open cylinders of small pure white flowers on stems about 1 foot high. Planted in shade they really shine out. It comes from wet beech forests in the mountains of Turkey, but in Britain it will grow in sun or shade (best in shade) and can be found naturalised in some places.
