Windows 10 Default Browser Settings

1. Don't want Edge as your default browser? Learn how to change it in a few simple steps.

Each time the Windows 10 Operating System receives a major software update Windows 10 has the tendency to revert the changes users have made in terms of default apps for various tasks. This occurs every time a major update or a new OS build is installed. While this can be annoying, it can easily be resolved by individual users in a few simple steps. From the Start menu, click on Settings. Which looks like a sprocket on the left side of the menu.

2. A new window will open. Click on the Apps icon.

3. On the next page, click Default apps along the left-hand menu. Scroll down until you see the Web browser header and you will see Microsoft Edge listed.

4. Click it and a smaller box will appear, where you can choose your preferred browser.
