The digestive system of brine shrimp occur first with the detection of food, which begins with sight and touch. The digestive tract of shrimp is divided into three main parts, the stomach, midgut and hind gut The stomach comprises the oesophagus and the part of the stomach where mastication occurs. The midgut gland secretes digestive enzymes, absorbs food and maintains mineral reserves. The shrimp digestive system is not complex whatsoever.
