Melocactus Violaceus 'Turk's Cap' is a diminutive, stout cactus native to Brazil. Its stem is a deep shade of green and adorned with 5-15 sturdy radial spines (with no central spines present). Over time, it will form a wool and bristle "cap" known as a "cephalium". The cephalium is topped with striking deep pink flowers that later develop into pale pink fruits. At maturity, this cactus can grow up to 8.0 inches in both width and height.
