Reeds Barber Shop & Shave Parlor is a traditional barbershop located at The Historic Red Mens Hall in Green Lane Pennsylvania. This men's only barbershop captures that authentic old time feel better than most out there. It's also one of the rare barbershops where you can also get a shoe shine. Father-son discounts.

This place is seriously awesome. It is right down the street from me and I had no idea. From the moment you step inside, you are transported back to a barbershop from the 40s or 50s. You can choose to wait by sitting on the shoe shine chairs (which you can actually get a shoe shine on), grab a seat on an old reclaimed church pew, or play some pool. There are drinks in the cooler and always some great banter. Trevor and his team are personable and take their time - you can tell they care about their craft.I went in on a Saturday and did have to wait a bit - plan on it. There were only a pair of guys there and they don't take appointments, but again, it is worth it. They take their time and do a great job. Lots of guys and their boys were hanging around waiting to get a fresh cut at this place.Prices were extremely reasonable for the amount of attention they provide to each person.Let's talk about my experience though. I went in, never having got a more traditional cut, so I was a little nervous. I ended up going for a fade with hard part and Trevor (the owner) exceeded my expectations. I also got a beard trim/shape up which really made everything come together nicely. They use top of the line products on their customers and have nice features like hot towels if getting a neck shave.This place is a gem and though I don't want to wait in line more than I have to, everyone should know about this place. These two give amazing haircuts and really take their time when giving you a haircut. They really know their stuff. They have a nice pool table too help the time go by and offer free beer, soda, and water which is awesome. The only downside is that they don't seem to be motivated to make extra money by keeping the shop open later. They usually stop taking walk ins an hour or two before hand and it seems every time I make the drive to get a haircut here, they closed the shop that day or not taking anymore walk ins. Their hours aren't really flexible for different clientele. I love coming here but when in dire need of a haircut, I'm usually stuck going to crappy great clips or something.read more

One of the most authentic and genuine shops that I’ve ever seen. The decor makes it appear like a barber shop used to look at the turn of the century. Precision work using methods that create the traditional barber classics. If you’re in Pennsylvania you should be getting your haircuts here.read more

These guys run a pretty sweet shop. Old school barber shop. Vintage. 3 chairs so be prepared to wait for a while if you come during peak hours. Plenty of seats for waiting though plus a full size pool table. Courtesy drinks (water/soda/juice) for you while you wait. Father/son discount if you bring your little one with you. Shop lost power due to the flood, not their fault. Got my haircut and beard trim done in the dark, with battery powered clippers, and it was spot on. First place I've found in two years that can do a proper fade. Grunt tested, Marine Corps approved. If this level of quality can be done with bare minimal amenities, I can only imagine what they can do with their full arsenal. I have found my new permanent Barber shop.read more

It's hard to write this review because I can't quite describe how amazing this place is. Let me break it down. Aesthetics are amazing. I feel like I'm back in the 40's whenever I walk in there. The stuff they have collected to give you that feeling us so unique I'm afraid to go near it because of how special it is. After you are done looking at all of the amazing memorabilia they have collected and you actually go to get your hair cut that's when Reed's truly shines.I have been to many barber shops. I travel all over Pennsylvania for work and no barber shop compares to Reed's Barber Shop in Green Lane. I have been going to them for almost 10 years now and I love my hair cut every time. The barbers are incredible people on top of being super talented. I now live about an hour from Reed's Barber Shop and I still make the drive whenever I want to get my hair cut.Do yourself and your family and friends a favor and go visit their shop. This barber shop deserves to be called one of the best barber shops in the world.read more

Trevor cut my son's hair and did a great job. He also talked to and joked with my son like it was second nature, not like it was forced conversation like some places you go. All the barbers here are nice, and the old style atmosphere is really cool.read more

Love getting my hair cut here, it's cozy and everyone is always friendly and fun to talk to. Every barber there is excellent at what they do. Honestly probably underpriced for the quality of service. The atmosphere is great, it's like a time machine to the early 1900's. Also the straight razor shave feels so clean afterwards it's great. I have been going to Reeds since they opened in Green Lane, and I would highly recommend them for their friendliness, quality, professionalism, and—most of all—the environment they create for their customers and families. This is a great place to take a kid for a first haircut, but also for a guy in his 80s, too. They treat everyone with respect, and are the kinds of dudes you are happy to have interact with your youngster. (I know because I did.) It's not every day you find a barber shop that has an authentic, vintage vibe, but also top notch skill, service, and professionalism, *plus* a good conversation for anyone ranging from adolescent to senior citizen. This is truly rare, but exists in Reed's Barber Shop in Green Lane, PA. (Love the military AND ALSO first responder nod, via discount, too!)read more
