Ever wonder what our Kishu line up looks like? Thank you to all our cooperative homes that make having this many Kishu possible! Kishu are not a pack-dog kind of dog, and while they do well in small family groups with other dogs, without co-owners, my kennel effort would be significantly smaller. Additionally, legalities restrict dog numbers in some counties and having cooperative homes helps to ensure that every individual gets quality time and interaction with their people to be the best Kishu ambassador they can be!

In order to be considered for a co-owner, applicants must pass the same puppy applicant screening I perform for my puppy placements, and must have the drive and will necessary to assist in being agreeable to driving their dog around for pre-breeding exams and clearances, and for actual breeding appointments (either by allowing me to take their dog for periods of time to get all the appropriate errands done, or being interested on doing them, themselves). Co-owned dogs are registered to me for ease of breeding and paperwork, but owned normally by their families otherwise. Paperwork and registration can be changed any time the dog is “retired” from the kennel for whatever reason.

By being a co-owner, you can help this rare primitive breed in North America.
