Robert J. Beauvais Sr., 78, of Oaklawn Ave., passed away December 24, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Claire P. (Dufault) Beauvais.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Machunis) Beauvais. Before retirement, Mr. Beauvais was employed by Our Lady of Fatima Hospital as a quality assurance inspector for many years. He was a Korean Navy veteran and was a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.
Besides his loving wife of over 55 years he is survived by his sons, Robert Beauvais Jr. and wife Shelley of Florida, John Beauvais and wife Sharon, Stephen Beauvais and wife Elissa, all of Cranston, and Richard Beauvais and wife Daniela of North Carolina. He was the grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of two. He was the brother of Cheryl Pingitore of Florida.
His funeral was held Dec. 30 from Russell J. & Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius V Church, Providence. Interment followed in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
