Nederlands: Op een piëdestal Mercurius (rechts) en Minerva (links), met naast hen hun attributen, respectievelijk de haan en de uil. De twee goden combineren de eigenschappen van wijsheid en wetenschap, belangrijk om op te klimmen in het leven. Op de achtergrond rechts de muzen op de berg Parnasus en op de achtergrond links Perseus met het hoofd van Medusa. Rechtsboven in de lucht meet een putto een wereldbol met een passer. Linksboven in de lucht schrijft een andere putto in een boek. De prent heeft een Latijns onderschrift. Rijksmuseum
English: On a pedestal Mercury (right) and Minerva (left), with next to them their attributes, respectively, the cock and the owl. The two gods combine the qualities of wisdom and science, important to climb in life. In the background right the Muses on Mount Parnasus and the background left Perseus with the head of Medusa. Right in the air measuring a putto a globe with a compass. Top left of the sky writes another putto in a book. The print has a Latin caption.
