The native range of this species is São Tomé, SW. Cameroon, W. Indian Ocean, Tropical & Subtropical Asia to Pacific. It is a lithophyte or epiphyte and grows primarily in the subtropical biome. It is used to treat unspecified medicinal disorders, as a medicine, has environmental uses and social uses and for food.
