This 1977 Trabant 601 Limousine is said to have been imported into the US in 2020 and is finished in white over patterned gray cloth upholstery. The car is powered by a two-stroke 594cc two-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 13” steel wheels, mud flaps, window visors, three-point front seatbelts, dashboard storage, door map pockets, and manually operated windows. Acquired by the selling dealer in February 2023, this Trabant is offered at no reserve with spare parts, manufacturer’s literature, a tool kit and jack, two keys, and a clean Florida title.

Made from recycled cotton and dye resins, the Duroplast body is finished in white and features a color-matching left side mirror and bumpers along with window visors, rear mud flaps, and black Trabant badging. Rust is visible under the driver’s door, there are scratches on the right-front fender, front bumper, and grille, and additional blemishes and imperfections are presented in the gallery below.

Steel 13″ wheels are mounted with a mixed set of 145/80 tires. A spare is stored in the trunk. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners. The front center caps are missing and corrosion can be seen on the left-front wheel.

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl and patterned gray cloth along with gray carpets and tan door panels with map pockets. Additional details include three-point front seatbelts, dashboard storage, and manual-crank windows. Wear on the interior surfaces and seats, including tears and staining, is visible in the gallery.

The two-spoke steering wheel is fitted with a cover secured by snaps and fronts a 120-km/h speedometer as well as controls and switches. The five-digit odometer shows 32k kilometers (~18k miles). True mileage is unknown.

The two-stroke 594cc two-cylinder engine features a fuel tank mounted above a single carburetor. The seller notes the engine can cut out at idle and surges under moderate-to-heavy acceleration. A replacement starter motor is included in the sale.
