Steven Scott Langley, 65

Steven Scott Langley, 65, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 15, 2020, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Steve was born on November 11, 1955, in Los Angeles, California, to Carlos and Eunice Langley. He graduated from Canoga Park High School where he participated in FAA and excelled in raising chickens, which he still does. He began a career as a heavy equipment operator and later took a job as head groomer at Kirkland Ski Area. He moved to Sandpoint with his then-wife Lynda and their three sons.

In Sandpoint, he took a job with Schweitzer first as groomer and later as road manager for Mountain Utility Company. At Schweitzer Steve met Laima and they were married on May 26, 2007.

His passions included hiking, skiing, sailing and helping others. He will be remembered as a caring, gentle, and compassionate soul, loving nature and lending a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife, Laima Langley of Sandpoint; three sons, Wyatt (Terra) Langley of Sandpoint, Austin Langley of Denver, and Calvin (Marjorie) of Australia; two stepchildren, Jonah (Jennah) Lucht of Sandpoint and Lela (Erik) Kjell of Seattle; he was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, Canyon, Huckleberry, Liam, Oshen, Alara, Keana, Livia, Brynmore, and Clara; and two brothers, Bart (Liz) Langley of Redding, and Mike (Cindy) Langley of Clovis.

A memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Steve’s home, 106 Brittany Loop, Sandpoint.
