This member of the Crassulaceae
family was given this name by
Hellmut R. Toelken in 1987. It is found in
eastern Little Karoo,
South Africa, growing in a well drained soil with some water and
lots of sun. The stem will grow up to four centimetres in diameter
and 35 centimetres height and even up to 45 centimetres in better
conditions than the wild. The flowers are yellow.
The genera name is an anagram of
Cotyledon; a closely-related genus. The species name means
'looking like Cacalia, a genus in the Asteraceae family -
must be Cacalia kleinia. |
