rbaceous thistle-like flowering plant, 'Mountain Cornflower' is an erect, clump-forming perennial which produces solitary, cornflower type blooms around 2" in diameter. This variety has pale pink blooms from May through to July. Deadhead regularly to extend flowering season. Happy in almost any soil and situation apart from deep shade.
Loved by bees, butterflies and other pollinators so ideal for wildflower gardens, herbaceous borders and cottage gardens. Great for ground cover if left to self seed and fully hardy. Can be lifted and divided outside flowering season as required. Requires little maintenance apart from cutting right back in the autumn to allow new growth to form during the spring. May require protecting from pests while young.
