Bakery Lorraine, the San Antonio French-inspired bakeshop, is expanding into Austin for its first-ever out-of-city location. It’ll be found in the Rock Rose district up in Domain Northside by fall 2018.

The bakery is known for macarons and French pastries like croissants, kouign-amann, bread pudding, tarts, eclairs, and more. It will also bake up loaves of bread as well. It will serve up breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch with savory and savory options. There are sandwiches (roasted chicken, pimento cheese), salads, soups, quiche, cinnamon toast, baked oatmeal, and more. For drinks, there is coffee, hot chocolate, iced tea, and others.

Fellow San Antonio coffee shop Local is also opening its first Austin location. When it debuts sometime this fall, it boasts of offering exclusive treats from Bakery Lorraine, like doughnuts and pies.

Bakery Lorraine is run by owners/chefs Anne Ng and Jeremy Mandrell, and co-owner/operator Charlie Biedenharn. Ng and Mandrell, who are now married, met while working at Bouchon Bakery in Napa Valley. They moved to San Antonio in 2010 and opened the bakery the following year.

Right now, there are three San Antonio locations of Bakery Lorraine. Other impending Rock Rose restaurant openings include expansions of 24 Diner and Sway.
