Biography

Graduate Student (2022): Appeared in 34 games for the Spartans, including 30 starts at designated hitter… Batted .235 with one home run and 11 runs batted in… Scored 14 runs, while also collecting a double and two triples to slug .316 for the year… Drew 13 walks to raise his on-base percentage to .353 for the campaign… Stole three bases on five attempts… Had four multiple-hit games and two multiple-RBI efforts… Opened the campaign with a season-long five-game hitting streak… Went four-for-five with two triples, a run, and an RBI against Washington & Jefferson on February 26, earning UAA Hitter of the Week honors later in the week… Hit a home run and drove in three total runs against Roanoke on March 7… Turned in a three-for-four performance with two runs and an RBI against Baldwin Wallace on April 7… Finished his career batting .250 with two home runs and 24 RBIs over 82 games played and 65 starts… Received UAA Spring All-Academic Honors.

Senior (2021): Turned in the best season of his career, batting .360 (18-for-50) with 14 runs scored, a double, two triples, and four RBIs… His .515 on-base percentage was the ninth-best in a single season in program history… Slugged .460 and stole two bases on three attempts… Appeared in 18 games during the year, including 17 as a starter (seven at catcher, seven as the designated hitter, and three at first base)… Batted .412 (seven-for-17) with two outs in an inning and reached base at a .563 mark when leading off an inning… Was three-for-three with three runs scored, a walk, and a stolen base against Ohio Wesleyan on April 22… Went two-for-three with two RBIs against Wittenberg on March 27… Received UAA Spring All-Academic recognition.

Junior (2020): Appeared in seven games during the season, including five as a starter… Made one start at catcher and four as the team’s designated hitter… Batted .238 (five-for-21) with a double, three RBIs, and three runs scored… Was successful on both of his stolen base attempts… Added a pair of walks to raise his on-base percentage to .304… Slugged .286 during the campaign… Hit .333 (two-for-six) against left-handed pitching… Added a .444 average (four-for-nine) with two outs… Went two-for-four with a run, two RBIs, and two stolen bases against Alfred State on March 11… Received Spring UAA All-Academic Recognition.

Sophomore (2019): Played in 18 games, including 11 as a starter… Finished the year batting .196 (nine-of-46) with a home run and six RBIs… Added two doubles and scored ten runs during the campaign… Slugged .304 with a .351 on base percentage… Hit in four-straight games between March 2 and March 12… Opened the season with a two-for-five performance against Spalding, recording a double and his first career home run in the game… Was one-for-three with two RBIs, two runs scored, and two walks against Roger Williams on March 13… Received UAA Spring All-Academic honors.

First-Year (2018): Played in five games during his freshman season, making a pair of stars, before missing the remainder of the season due to injury… Was the Spartans’ designated hitter in their opening game of the season, going one-for-six at the plate.

Personal: Was a four-year member of the Appoquinimink High School baseball team, serving as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons... Was coached by William Cunningham... A two-time all-conference selection (2015 and 2017)... Selected to the National Honor Society, was his Senior Class President, and won the Jefferson Award for Service... Also played basketball in high school... Born July 7... Son of Clarence and Dinetta.
