This is not a spectral-rape project, whatever that is
The Perfume Nationalist, 2020 August 30, ≈1:03:47: “Do people not understand you can download the file for every episode? In fact, I wish someone would just, like, reliably leak all the episodes. Like, I don’t like paywalling some of them, but I have to, because this is a business. But I wish somebody would reliably leak them all.”
This archive exists as one additional backup for this podcast’s corpus. A standard principle of archiving is the creation of multiple copies. Perfume Nationalist episodes may be found on various subscribers’ computers and certainly on their smartphones, but if the source files are ever deleted, all those dispersed individual files will be useless for the task of reconstituting the work. Yet here we have the full run in one place.
The Perfume Nationalist (host and brother cohost) are not good at computers, filenames, consistency of any sort, or differentiating friend from enemy. Rest assured that, while other samizdat archives exist, this archive will remain in place indefinitely to protect the Perfume Nationalist from itself.
Indeed, the archiving will continue until morale improves.
