Product Information

  • DESCRIPTION – Colorful & showy with masses of daisy-like flowers in shades of yellow, orange, & apricot, this annual grows 4 to 12 in. tall & has a long bloom season. Native to South Africa so it’s moderately drought tolerant. Easy to grow from seed, it attracts pollinators such as butterflies & bees.
  • USES – Well suited to mass plantings, on slopes, as a ground cover, in a meadow, along narrow walkways & as an accent color splash in a sunny cottage garden.
  • REGIONS – Performs best in warm winter/dry summer climates. Naturalized in parts of California, Arizona & Oregon. Will need supplemental water in absence of winter rains.
  • BLOOM TIME – Plant seed in the fall in a sunny location for profuse winter-spring bloom. In cold winter areas plant in spring for summer & fall flowers. It will reseed & is easy to grow.
  • SEED QUALITY & RATE – Minimum purity 90%, minimum germination 80%. Seed at rate of one ounce to 350 square feet. 11,300 seeds per ounce.
