Fantastic game on PC! And this is a great port of it with no compromises. But it has buggy controller support and is forced Portrait mode. For me, across two different phones, I could get controllers to work by doing some voodoo magic. EG: I open the game with one controller connected, press start, confirm that one doesnt work, then connect a second controller. 100% of the time, that one works. For my Gamesir X2S, I start the game with a Bluetooth controller connected, then slot my phone in.

Good game. Played through this on Steam years ago. Picked it up on mobile since its included with the Play Pass. I challenged myself and completed this mobile version of Downwell despite the touchscreen controls. Expect to move left when you want to move right, not jump when you want to jump, not shoot when you want to shoot, vice versa. There are limited control options that make the playability slightly more manageable. Otherwise, most of the game you're fighting the controls.

I've played this game a fair amount on PC, but honestly I think it plays even better on mobile. very satisfying and enjoyable. I recommend using the option to hide the on screen buttons, makes it easier to see. not like you need them. also, idk why people in the reviews are complaining about the control layout or their hands being in the way; are you not holding your phone with both hands and playing with your thumbs?? that's definitely the intended way.
