Common Name The Star of The Woods Epigeneium

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in the Philippines at elevations over 500 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with distinctly 4 angled pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, very leathery, ovate leaves that blooms in the spring on a upright to erect, to 10 flowered inflorescence.

This species and E acuminatum are said to be synomonous by several references but this one has smaller flowers and a more erect inflorescence with less, only up to 10 flowers.
