Common Name or Meaning Ludlow's Cypripedium - In China Bo Mi Shao Lan

Flower Size 3.2" [8 cm]

Found in southeastern Xizang province of China in forests in moist areas at elevations around 4300 meters as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial with an erect, glabrous stem provided with several basal sheaths and carrying 3, elliptic-ovate to elliptic, sparsely pubescent on veins, glandular hairy towards the apex and base, acuminate to acute apically leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, single flowered inflorescence with ovate to ovate-elliptic, sparsely pubescent acute to acuminate, almost twice as long as the ovary floral bracts.
