Common Name The Twisted Bulb Bulbophyllum

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Borneo, Java and Sumatra in primary ridge, and hill forests as a small sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte at elevations of 200 to 2000 meters with terete, narrowly ovoid pseudobulbs adpressed to the rhizome and enveloped basally by a ring of bristles and arranged in a tightly clustered chain with a single, apical, linear, acute, grooved shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a lateral, very short, single flowered inflorescence arising from and held close to the rhizome.

This plant has a pendant growing rhizome so they need to be mounted on a tree fern pole and given copious quantities of water and fertilizer and kept with very humid conditions, ample air circulation and light shade.
