Found in southern Sumatra on Mt Dempo at elevations around 1000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a short, branching rhizome with close set, erect, short pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, narrowly lanceolate, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on a basal, erect, peduncle 3.6" [9 cm] long, rachis abruptly recurved, thickened, 2.2" [5.5 cm] long overall, laxly many flowered inflorescence.
