Aulonocara Hansbaenschi
  Aulonocara Hansbaenschi, also known as the "Red Shoulder","Red Flush" and sometimes called the "Regal"( the true blue regal is the Stuartgranti Mbenji)is the most dispersed Peacock in the trade. It can reach up to 4 inches in the wild and 5 inches in the aquarium. AD Konings  has found out these are dwellers at the rock-sand interface  in the lake, and  they are know put into the Stuartgranti family. The Hansbaenschi is an synonym name.
Aulonocara Hueseri
    The Hueseri is only found on Likoma Island.In the tradethere called Night Aulonocara or Aulonocara White Top. They can reach up to 4 inches in the wild, in the aquarium 6".Females will grow 3",in aquarium they can grow 6".Females will swim in groups in the wild.They are very popular for aquariums.  They are know in the Staurtgranti group  and in the trade sold as Night Auloncara or Auloncara white top.
Aulonocara Maylandi
      This is another beautiful Peacock. It was named after Hans J. Mayland. Trewavas named it in 1984. It is found between Eccles Reef and Makanjila. They grow up to 4 inches. The difference in this Peacock is it's yellow strip down the middle of his head.The trade name is the Sulferhead Aulojnocara.  The difference in the Kandeensis is the white strip down the middle of it's head.   AD Konings has stated ( Malawi cichlids in there natural habitat) that there probably closely related.  They have larger broods of fry at least about 100 fry are born at a time.
