Gasser army infantry officer's model M-1870, also known as "Gasser-Kropatschek". Basically this as the same design as army model and differs only in dimensions and caliber: 9 mm Gasser. Barrel length: 4.5", overall: 9.25". This type of guns were privately purchased by Officers and have better finish and quality than army models. Left side of the gun has following markings: serial number on the frame, "L. Gasser Wien Pattent" and "S. Marke" with an apple pierced by arrow (distributor). Condition: fine. About 60% of finish remains, rest uniform patina, no rust or pitting. All internal parts in excellent shape and everything works smoothly. Very good bore and nice grips with no chips or cracks. Comes with original nice leather holster in very good condition. Beautiful and handy little gun. Guns of this type were privately purchased by high ranking Officers. Archduke Rudolf used it to commit suicide in Mayerling which was the beginning of the end of Habsburg Dynasty.  Serial number: 106078
