A vice president of the union that represents state correction officers was suspended from that position last week after being fired from his job as a Correction Sergeant after his second arrest within a year on domestic-violence charges.
Chris R. Hansen, 61, of Queensbury, which is in Warren County at the southern edge of Lake George, was suspended Aug. 28 from his position as Northern Region vice president of the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association, the union announced.
