Abstract The fertilizing value of the Bassia indica (Wight) A. J. Scott (Syns. Kochia indica Wight) straw extract compared with B. indica straw burning as a source of fertilizer nitrogen for wheat injected irrigation water was tested. The experimental design was randomized complete blocks in split plot formation. Nitrogen B. indica straw extract and B. indica straw burning placed in the whole plots. Two wheat varieties namely, Giza 155 and Giza 157 and maize were assigned to the 1st split plots. Straw rates were distributed in the 2nd split plots. The rates of B. indica straw were 0, 20, 40 & 60 Kgs /feddan. Five replicates were conducted to form a total number of 80 plots. |
