The functions of PDA used in this special topic study and the
students’ application modes:
Function 1: shooting digital photos and digital videos.
The mode of students’ application：
(1) Use
digital video to record the plant ecology.

All kinds of video records of visit and field observations.
(3)
Achieve multiple record notebook function by combining notebook handwriting
input with digital recording.
Function 2：Handwriting input in notebook mode
The modes students can apply：
(1) Use handwriting input PDA to record the observation and what one
leans about the plant ecology.
(2) Accomplish multiple record notebook function by combining
digital video and digital recording.
Function 3：Digital recording
The modes students can apply：
(1) Use digital
recording to make audio files of interviews.
(2)
Accomplish multiple record notebook function by combining digital video and
handwriting input in notebook mode.
Function 4：Connect to the wireless broadband
network
The modes students can apply：
(1) Real-time network data in wireless environment in interviewed
areas (for example: there are many wireless broadband network constructed in
many communities in Tianwei Road Garden)
(2) Observe the real-time network data
by combining the wireless broadband network environment of this school with the
ecological school biology information website.
