Description:
Villous herbs; stem shortly creeping. Leaves opposite, to 2 x 1.5 cm; ovate, acute, rounded to cordate at base; petiole 5 mm long. Flowers axillary, solitary; pedicels 1.5 cm long; slender, erect; calyx 5-partite, lobes 6 mm long, lanceolate; corolla yellow, 1.5 cm across, deeply 5-lobed, lobes obovate; stamens 5, filaments inserted at the base of corolla tube, shortly united at base; ovary 1-celled, globose, ovules many, on free central placenta; style filiform. Capsule 6 mm across, globose, 5-valved; seeds many, trigonous.
