ex Schlecht. (syn. P. inglisii). Woody-based, densely mat to low cushion forming up to 30cm or more across. Leaves mostly basal, digitate, formed of three to seven linear, silky-hairy leaflets 4-12mm long. Flowers 1.5-2cm wide, bright yellow, usually solitary, sometimes in pairs, the obovate petals with notched tips, mid to late summer. Pakistan to Bhutan and temperate Asia, on stony slopes, screes and amongst rocks at 2800-5800m. [Pl.364].
