Botanical Description

Leaves 5-10cm long, wildest at the tip, 5-10mm wide. Flowers globose, about 4mm long, bright blue with white teeth. Widespread throughout eastern Europe and the Balkans in damp alpine meadows at 500-2000m. M. kerneri and M. longifolium are narrow leaved forms from Italy. M. lelievri is from central France.
