Corm tunic coriaceous with basal rings. Leaves three to seven, less than 1mm wide appearing with the flowers. Flowers 5-7cm tall, with tepal lobes l-2cm long, pale yellow, lilac or white externally flecked with blue. Turkey, on rocky hillsides and in scrub at 1000-2000m. Easily grown in a bulb frame but too small to be a satisfactory garden plant.
