A vigorous species producing copiously leafy stems to about 1m long, twining in habit towards their apices. Leaves 3-5cm long, triangular-ovate with a few low teeth on each margin and slightly hairy and glaucous beneath. Sepals 1.5-2cm long, spreading widely. Corolla bell-shaped, 2-3cm long and wide, pale yellow-green, beautifully veined with purple on the outside. Western Himalaya, Kashmir, in scrub at 1500-3500m. Var. angustifolia has similar flowers but narrowly lanceolate leaves and comes from Tibet.
