Description

Maximum length of the fish is 3.5 cm (Froese et al., 2014). Danio kyathit is distinguished from all other Zebra species by the combination of 5-7 dark, spotted (ocelot Danio) or continuous horizontal stripes on the lateral side of the body (Orange – Finned Danio), incomplete lateral line, and two pairs of long barbells (FishBase, 2018) Danio kyathit lives in freshwater benthopelagic areas and distributed in Asia. The habitat of Danio kyathit is small streams with clear, brownish and fast running water (Fang, 1998).
